Hey there, friends.
I hope you are finding a nourishing rhythm for yourself this summer. I have been traveling extensively since the end of May (Maine, Sedona, Japan, South Korea), and now I long to soak up some of that slow summer vibe before we blink and it’s fall.
So this is just a quick note to say that over the next stretch of summer, I’ll be sharing a few of my most-viewed posts from the past. With so many new folks joining in recent months (wow, welcome!), it feels like the perfect time to pull a few greatest hits from the archives and let them breathe again.
Paid subscribers: you’ll continue to receive your usual perks at the end of the month, including a fresh essay and all your extras. This replay is just a bonus, a gentle way to stay connected while we soak up these long, light-filled days, and to give our growing community a glimpse of the kinds of things we explore together here.

☀️ Summer Replay #1: A Letter to My Estranged Sisters
Of all the pieces I’ve written, this one has traveled the farthest. It’s been read and shared more than anything else I’ve published—and I’ve often wondered why.
Maybe because so many of us carry silent grief around fractured family ties.
Maybe because sibling estrangement leaves a particular kind of ache—one that’s hard to name, but instantly recognized when someone else puts it into words.
Or maybe because in this letter, I let go of trying to explain or resolve anything, and simply spoke from the raw truth of my heart and the love that undergirds the pain.
If you’ve read it before, thank you for holding it with care. And if this is your first time, may it meet you gently, wherever you are on your own path of love, loss, or longing.

A LETTER TO MY ESTRANGED SISTERS
This morning, I found myself thinking about my sisters. When I sat to write, this is what came through. I mostly left it alone and only changed a few words for clarity.
If it doesn’t click through ( some things have been wonky on Substack), here’s the link:

I’ll be back soon with another offering from the archives. Until then, may you make time for some of the gifts of summer. You’ll find me wandering the neighborhood and open spaces listening to the flowers.
