A few nights ago, I went for a walk in search of owls and I prayed to the poet, Hafiz. Wait. Am I allowed to pray to a long dead, slightly irreverent Sufi mystic and poet from the 14th century? I was taught that I could only pray to Jesus, or God the Father.
