Dear Mary Thoma,

What a beautiful piece about the power of prayer and the invitation of owls. I enjoyed reading your piece. The funny plastic owl on the stoop of the house you saw is (as you might already know) fairly common in Wyoming and Colorado to keep away woodpeckers, mice and other small creatures (including birds) away given many owls in the area are predatory. Many blessings to you and thank you for your beautiful writing as I contemplate the magick of owls and the invitation of prayer ♥︎

Karen, how lovely to hear from you. Thank you for your kind words. I had an inkling that might be why the plastic owl was there, but I still found it to be another little wink. I have walked by that house multiple times and never seen it. ;)
