Thank you so much for sharing the raffle fundraiser Mary! Just three days left to buy tickets before the draw is made and the 55 winners are selected - eeep! Exciting!
I think you're the only writer who has taken photos of her bathroom and published them on your Substack. I admire you for that. For me too bathtub is relaxing place and bed is the writing place. I am subscribing you.
A holy place indeed! My mother spent whole days in the tub nurturing her soul (whilst surviving a violent marriage). I feel the same way you do 💗 Savored many hot bath healing ceremonies, with candles, rose petals and - singing! Love your photos, too.
Mmm, yes. If you know, you know. Thank you for reading and your comment! A sacred space indeed. I too have had more beautiful baths with salts and oils, flower petals, etc. A nourishing experience. I intentionally did not post any of those photos because I didn't want anyone to think you had to have those items to have a holy bath <3
Woah. Talk about synchronicity! I was diagnosed with (relatively low risk) melanoma yesterday and after lots of tears and phone calls with doctor’s offices over almost exactly 24 hours, I got into a hot bath and it was exactly what I needed. Like you said, sometimes a bath is just a bath but often it’s so much more.
“We are held as we learn to hold ourselves.” Held is my word of the year ❤️
Krista, I'm grateful you reached out and thank you for sharing so vulnerably. I am grateful to learn your melanoma is low risk, and I still can imagine how difficult that was to hear. I send my heartfelt intentions and prayer for your full healing. I do love it when Spirit brings things together in synchronicity. You are indeed being held. <3
What a gorgeous, comforting reflection! I can feel the warm water enveloping my body …. “I am not a self-improvement project or a problem to be solved. I am whole.” These words are such a good reminder.
Christianna- Thank you for taking the time to read it and respond. May Love surround your mom on her journey. A holy place, indeed. And yes, I felt the same way about the quote. I'll need to get the whole book now. Happy we have connected!

Thank you, Gina! And thank God for baths! :)
Gorgeous writing! Bath is restorative!
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support!
Beautiful. I shared this for my mom, who battles breast cancer now. The bath has become a holy place for her.
Also, THAT QUOTE FROM Reymond! Saving that one. Thank you.
