It is interesting that I go the full spectrum when self-evaluating the articles I write. I have a full panel of internal critics that are constantly arguing with each other about minute details that should be changed or eliminated. Then again, someone once suggested the whole fun in writing is not the first draft - it is the editing! Ha!
You know I care and can't wait to read what you write every week :) I will check out your recommendation--and make sure you watch 13 Lives if you haven't already. xo
I do indeed, hoaloha. Yes, I loved 13 Lives and shared about it with my paid subscribers but I don't think I shared it here. Thanks! There is also a documentary about it.
Thanks for sharing this. Months ago, before I started my newsletter here, I stopped writing online for some of the reasons you mentioned, mostly because I figured no one would really miss my words since so few people were reading them.
It was also time consuming to write, and I was only earning a few dollars a month. Within a couple of months, I was back because I realized how much writing online improved my own mental health and I missed it. I still have a relatively small following, but some of those who do read my words express their appreciation, and that helps me keep going, too. My goal truly is to change lives, starting with my own!
Yes, yes, Wendi! Thank you for understanding and for sharing your experience here as well. That final line is the clincher - to change lives starting with my own! Indeed! One of my taglines is " Helping others heal and share their story while healing and sharing my own!" So good to have friends on the journey.
I’m convinced ego wants us dead, or at the very least wrapped in a blanket in a corner uttering incoherently. you’re a beautiful writer. You have so much wisdom to contribute, ego begone. Fear begone. Keep on doing what you do so well and the world will show up and thank you for your generous gift of time and talent!

Carol, what a generous and affirming response. Thank you for your encouragement and companionship. We walk this road together!
You’re welcome, and you can rest assured that generosity is heartfelt. Together, yes! 😊❤️
